Z1000-A1 pattern clocks fittng

#1 PostAuthor: TiBolts » Tue Jan 25, 2022 10:03 pm

The Z1000-A1 that I bought in bits came with lots of new spares, including some Hi Level clocks - but they don't fit the original bracket. The bulge on the back of each one fouls the bracket; the fittings etc otherwise line up as they should. Looks like I might be able to file away sections of the bracket but I wondered if anyone knows whether there's a pattern bracket that fits with these clocks?

Also I need to stick new foam on the back of the clocks - how thick should it be? The original stuff is shot to pieces.

Cheers

Theo

Thanks all, yes spoke to Phil and they do one and I can see from the photo that it has a bigger space in the centre of each clock bracket. Also appears to come with the foam vibration damping stuff.

Dragging this out of the archives... What are peoples thoughts on these clock sets ??

They work well at least the ones I have do no wavy needles any more. There was some mods needed to the bulb wiring as I recall and you couldn’t use the original bulb holders and wiring because they were different size.

I have bought a couple of sets this year and they were fine. Everything fitted nicely.
