Twin headlights?

#1 PostAuthor: RALPHARAMA » Sun Mar 06, 2022 8:40 am

I’m toying with the idea of twin headlights for my A4 special. Either a twin light bikini type handlebar fairing or maybe just twin lights some how mated together.

Whatever I do needs not to be too angular. If there is something period I can get my hands on, happy daze :D Any thoughts?

I don’t want ANY CNC made parts on this bike. I am building it as if it could have been made in the first half of the eighties, ie machine tools, but not CNC. Whilst CNC was in existence it was too expensive for custom builders. Even those of us at BAe couldn’t get CNC machining done - that really was ONLY for aircraft

Just a thought - wouldn't twin Chrome 'Bates' headlights be period correct for early 80's, later mods in the early 90's would be to use the headlights off GSXRs / ZXRs but i guess that'd be a "No No" for your build

Could go for the baja dirtbike look with two big lights with an oval frame around them maybe? Hodna XR baja style.
