Could someone tell me the compatibility with parts off this bike and my F1 please?
I'm thinking due to the CV's it's later than mine so should be the same engine, possibly elec ignition? I thinking of using the ignition, bars, dual front disk, coils (mine have very short HT leads and these maybe able to be replaced?) clutch lever assy. I've also noted that the bottom engine casing has had a resin repair on mine.
Cheers

Re: z650 model?
The main big engine components are the same for all the 650's Pete. So for 300 euros it's worth it for the disc, callipers, engine case etc.
Never worked on a F1 or a Sr but would have thought both had electronic ignition.
RE your short ht's. Assume you have the glued in type ht's? You can easily put new ht's on them. If you slide something down between ht lead and coil case and then work it around you can pull the old ht's out. The coil has a central prong at the recess base so you can just push and glue new ht's back in.

Thanks Warren.
Yep, they're the glued type, cheers for that.
It's 200 euros so even more of a bargain!
Just waiting for a message and I'll be off.
Thanks again.

Forgot to say the F1 is points for some unknown reason. Probably using up parts, same as the drum rear brake..

Yep, kawasaki didn't waste a thing. Z1000a1 rivets counters all say A1 had fuel screws only but I know for a fact that's not 100% as I have known my A1 from new and it has airscrew carbs. Probably ran out of fuel screw carb stock and to keep production going they used 900 airscrews that they had.

I'm 3rd owner, 2nd owner bought at 2 years old, can't see why someone would down grade the ignition. I read F1's had points, mine definitely has F2's had electronic? Could be taking cobblers, normally am.
Anyway, it is now in my possession. Going to be stripped and boxed and the unwanted stuff sold for next to nowt to cover the purchase of the bike......I hope.
2 membranes are quick to fall, 1 slide is stuck, choke butterflies work
Zeph (guessing 550 shocks)
Tank looks OK, got the cap off and looks clean inside
Quite pleased.
