Does anyone have a picture of the steel part of the clutch assembly that Alan Cooper at Kipkawa used to sell please.
It was lightened with several holes or elongated slots machined in it.
I cant find one from any internet search or from the original website which does not appear to be archived anywhere i have seen.
Its the large diameter steel toothed part once the rivetts have been removed and the drum and backing plate taken off.

My Endurance bike has one fitted, won't be able to get pics until I take the cover off again, unfortunately.

Pops, thats great, thank you for taking the time to stage and post those pics. Interesting too because it never occured to me to lighten the damper plate. Think i will get my dividers out and get drilling.

The stock selector drum weighs in at about 750g and letting the daylight through saves 200g.

I fell flat on my face trying to drill the J type clutch basket last week as it seems they decided to harden both the flywheel and the spring damper plate.

Did you use Cobalt or Carbide bits as those will work.

Thanks Rob, carbide insert in odd legs, tool steel centre punch and genuine aircraft spec cobalt drills not those crappy ones that are sprayed gold on the end and nothing touched any of it!
I know the flywheel is induction hardened but the spring damper plate looks to be surface hardened. Gave up then.
I have no idea how Alan Cooper did his ones. Water jet, plasma cutter, laser cut i really dont know.
