Quick question for those in the know

I'm looking at getting a Z1A/B or A4 in a few weeks time - I've looked at a couple and and have seen a lovely A4 with this badge on the side panel? As far as I was aware, the '76 A4 just had a 'Z900' badge (without the double overhead camshaft bit on the bottom) - is this an 'in-between' years thing or are the badges 'wrong'?
