I have a Z1000 R2 and the tacho dosent work seams to be an issue with these. Dose anyone know if these can be fixed or know if a tacho from another model can be fitted

Is it the two round (approx 3 inch diameter) clocks side by side?

I take it these are the style of gauges from your R2?

Basically the GT55p, GPz550 and GT750 all have the same range from 0 - 12k regardless of redline so the workings might drop straight in. The gauge plate mounting dimensions are also identical.
The only difference is that yours doesn't have a voltmeter function whereas the GT/GPz does. Can't be sure whether this would effect the function of the tacho signal or not but I'd guess it'll be okay.

Yea that’s them I brought a GT 550 set of clocks n fitted it but still no tacho so looking into it a bit more of corse they could have both been broken but will see

Do you have signal on the black wire or even the black wire itself which is piggy-backed onto one side of the coil?

Yea I have a pulse I have a live and an earth then all of a sudden it started working while I was checking it. Then it stopped again. I need to find some one that’s good with electronics to see if there’s a fault with it

There's a clue to it suddenly starting and then stopping again. Kinda sounds like whichever wire you were wiggling when it suddenly started working has a dry/loose/dirty connection to the circuit board or maybe the wire has a break in it. Also worth double checking the earth is good and has clean contact.
At least you know the tacho is good!

9 times out of 10 my tacho will start and run faultlessly and on the odd occassion it doesn't, i just give the case a small tap and off it goes. Its an internal thing and although my one does not look like yours it has the same internals and the same printed circuit board as far as i am aware. I just live with it.
