An inline one from your local car accessory shop should do it - one of those clear plastic ones. I ran a modified Z1 with such a filter many years ago without any problems.

These are the type I use Russell. Available from marine Chandlers.
You can see when they need a clean and are simple to disassemble and reassemble.

Thanks Warren, plenty of choice.
Can’t recall if the fuel line internal is 6 or 8mm as there appears to be a choice to be made.
Any recommendation as to sourcing fuel line splitters?
