Z1000 exhaust flanges

#1 PostAuthor: bigdjag » Thu Apr 27, 2023 3:05 pm

Can anyone tell me if the Z900 exhaust flanges with the 6mm bolt holes will fit the Z1000 if i were to drill the holes out to 8mm as they look the same and there looks like there's enough meat on them to drill them out. :?:
Thanks

Hi bigdjag

yes, they will fit but why would you do that?
Buy new exhaust crowns from Z-Power an sell the original Z900 exhaust crowns . I think there are a lot of people who'll want to buy them.

Thanks for the reply
It's just I got a set of Z900 ones from a friend but the bolt holes are 6mm and I need 8mm for my Z1000. So if they fit all I need to do is drill them out to 8mm and that will make them fit my bike. But I will also look into the ones at Z power
Thanks again

They will also have unplated 8mm holes in them and be more prone to rust.
Cheers,

Mark.
