ST Clutch cable

#1 PostAuthor: moizeau » Tue Jun 27, 2023 9:38 am

Just bust the clutch cable on the ST. There's a bloke selling a genuine cable online NOS. ref 54011-070 which is from a D1 according to CMSNL. The ST ref is 54011-1019.
Does anyone know if the Z1R cable would fit my ST please?
Cheers
Pete

Ended up ordering an aftermarket one, will take a week to get here apparently. Kawasaki France's website doesn't show parts for older bikes, it directs you to a concessionaire, all of which are multi-marque and carry very little stock and require an email or phone call to see if / when they can get the part. Not quite up to Cradley's standards. All part of the fun of living in Cowsville.

cradley kawasaki have sold the dealership to Wheels motorcycles so you can expect the service to go down hill now Quite a few staff have left the company

It wasn't a good sign when they changed their Kawasaki parts search engine recently.
What was a simple effective system where you put a part number in, it showed the result, with it's availability and also if it's been superseded.
Now, you put in a part number and for some reason you get many results to scroll through.
It seems now to show items whose part number is almost the same as the item you want. Might be a good idea for Amazon, but NOT when you're trying to buy bolts or bearings where "close" part numbers are simply the wrong part.
It might look pretty, but it's another example of presentation trumping performance.
