Refurbish Jardine Exhausts

#1 PostAuthor: Swiss Gaz » Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:13 pm

Hi all, I am looking at getting the original Jardine exhausts re-chromed on my K1000 1980 LTD. While I was mulling this over I was wondering if it was possible to also get them repacked to improve the gas flow and sound. Has anyone done this or is it the stupidest idea in the world? I want to keep the stock look and apart from the chrome that showing its age there is nothing wrong with them. I could spend the money on a performance exhaust of course but I like the original look. Looks like you would have to remove the end caps but surely there must be way to keeping the outside sleeves but improving the internals (or maybe not!)? Maybe there is a company out there that already does this but I can find anyone. Thanks,
