Z1000 A1 Clocks

I'm part way through a refurb project, and the time has come to consider what to do with the clocks. The bike is a 1977 Z1000 A1, but I am not sure that the clocks that are on the bike are the right ones for this model. In particular, the use of the blue font on the km/h scale does not look correct? Opinions are welcome.

You can also see that the face of the speedo is scratched, which leads me to believe they have been "tampered" with, or disassembled at some point.

If the clocks are not right, what options do I have? Replacement is clearly one, I could ignore the issue (although it would bug the hell out of me  ), or I could have them refurbished.

Anybody got any experience/recommendations for refurbishing the clocks?

UK Z1000a1 clocks picture. Got non standard chrome clock covers on them. Al marshal on here refurb clocks and can just swop to the correct face. Internal workings are the same just different face so will still read correct. Or as correct as they ever were!

Clock for the Speedometer is off a later model Z1000 (same internals different face), I’d get the Speedo refurbished with the correct clock face

My speedo face showed similar scratches then fractured in 2 - presumably vibration stress fracture. Sent it to Peter Bond who fixed and refurbished it.

Tacho is incorrect too, that's for the Z1A & Z1B.

I agree. Stop lamp in the tacho is 900 a & b. Stop light indicator is the bottom one on the central stack for a1

Hello Zedman. They look good :D

Can my tacho be converted back, if it has an incorrect stop lamp in it? Is it just a case of putting a new face on, and ignoring the bulb?
