ART Pistons

#1 PostAuthor: dave cullen » Thu Feb 29, 2024 7:15 pm

Got a set of ART pistons with the number 114 cast onto side, the standard ART ones that came out of my 1100ELR say 181 in the same place.

Is this a part number, I believe the 114s may also be standard pistons for this bike but not sure now.

Hi Dave, i have a set of ZX11 (unitrak and Z1100R etc. 18mm wrist pins) pistons here with 114 cast on the side and no oversize stamped into the top.
CMSNL shows 181 for both models. Dont think its a part number, more like a casting number for the blank.

Thanks Al, that's very helpful, I'm puzzled why I bought a set of standard pistons, maybe I was offered them before I got the engine rebuilt, especially as they are hard to find, that's two sets to shift now, appreciate you taking the time to help with this.
