Alloy wheel Identification CMA’s maybe?
Brought these wheels a few weeks ago of a guy who advertised them as CMA wheels to fit Z1000/ Z1R. I think they could be although I already have a set of CMA 3 spokes which I am going to eventually fit to my H1E which have embossed CMA clearly on one spoke front and rear. Also, my other ones have a Cush hub with rubbers where these just have the sprocket directly attached to the wheel? Can anyone shed any light on these and could confirm make? I m looking at possibly fitting onto my Z1R..
Cheers

Dymags was what went through my mind when I first saw them

Front wheel has 6 bolt holes. Z900 / Z1000 / Z1R discs all have 4 bolt holes.

Re: Alloy wheel Identification CMA’s maybe?
Thanks, yes I thought that they could be Dymags as well?
Thanks, yes I did see that they have 6 hole discs for fronts, they came with all 3 discs so thought would still work on the Z1R ?
Here’s a picture of the discs and sprocket I got with them.
Discs are same size as Z1R’s but not drilled but the sprocket is a lot bigger but then the back wheel is a lot smaller, think 16”? Cheers

Thanks Dave for your input.
Gutted though as I was looking forward to getting them ready to go on my Z1R
So I've now got a set of wheels I need to offload to someone with a GS1000 78-79
Thanks again …

Re: Alloy wheel Identification CMA’s maybe?
You could probably modify those wheels to fit ?
I put a pair of Astralites on a Zed which were made for a GS - its a long time ago. It can be done. It just depends how much work you want to do !
First up; most of the GS 1000 wheels were 19 inch front and 17 inch rear - the 1000 "s" had an 18 inch rear.
Your Z1R will have 18 inch front and rear if its a UK model (D1) ?
From the pictures it looks like you have 19 inch front 17 inch rear ?
Do you really want to put those on your Z1R ? As I say, it can be done - you'll probably need further mods to your suspension though just to allow for 19/17 inch wheels .....

Re: Alloy wheel Identification CMA’s maybe?
Thanks for the advice Dave.
Yes, I’ve been thinking about it and to be honest I’m not really into the work involved for the gain.. It was a spur of the moment thing TBH and the more I think about it the more I don’t think I should bother.
So, now I know what they are I will advertise them with the discs etc.
Thanks again for your advice.

They are pretty rare wheels.
Even for a GS they should bring decent money !
Hopefully you can recover your cost and even make a profit.
Good luck with the sale.

Thanks again.
Hopefully then, I should get my money back as I brought some other bits including a set of complete Z1R wheels and an old Z Kerker Exhaust which needs some welding, stripping and paint. Roughly, What would you think they are worth on there own complete as a guide?
Cheers

I sold a project bike with a spare set of Z900 a4/5 cma's, so drum rear. They were the road versions, so much heavier than the race versions, but the buyer sold on the Cma's for close to a grand.

Hi Warren, for such rare / seldom seen for sale items it's a case of how much someones prepared to pay / how badly they want them !
Especially for an early Zed - there'll probably never be another set come up for sale ! ......
Just watch this Forum ~ "For Sale" section in the next couple of days
Half a dozen posts for CMA's for £1000 a pair....

yeah, I think he got lucky. If you know what your looking at they are often on fleabay mis identified. Unfortunately the race and road versions look identicle but the weight difference is mahoosive.
I've a pair of race A4 Cma's on my black 650.
Race versions.
