Dyna coils help?

I've got a couple of green 3.0 ohm Dyna coils date stamped 1997. I've tested them and they should be:
Primary resistance 2.9 to 3.2
Secondary 13.5 to 14.5

One of them only has 2.4 primary. Would they be ok to use do you think, or is that to far out and are they to old?
Let me know your thoughts please
Thanks

If a coil is that far out of spec I would replace it, dyna coils are known for failure be it cracking, arcing and resistance failure, i have personally just binned the things and gone back to stock type coils whenever a bike of mine has come with them.

Did you short the probes together first before measuring to get 0 ohms as leads and connections can make a difference to readings at low ohm measurments though they normally add a little due to small resistance on connections and leads.

Yes thanks for the replies, I decided to just buy new ones, they are so old I dont want them to pack up in the middle of nowhere so thought it best.

I've had excellent results with the Dyna "Mini" coils, fitting them to the last 5 Z1-R TC's I've built.
Mush easier to mount, no danger of arcing either, and they're also a little cheaper than the full size ones.
