Fork tubes - Hard Chrome or?

Hello all,
I'm looking to get my pitted forks on the z1000a1 sorted.
I've used Philpotts before with excellent results. However I suspect
I'll be looking around the £200+ mark these days. Zpower are selling at £140
And with the current 15% discount that's £119.

So has anyone bought the Zpower forks and what
Is the quality like?
Not sure if my current forks are oem or not, anyway of telling?
If they were oem I'd probably look at philpotts.

I had my z9 fork tubes rechromed by HardChrome Plating and Bringing ( HCPG) in Nottingham in 1989 and they're still fine 65 000 miles later.
I've used Philpotts too , for an Rd 500 and an XL185 resto and the price was marginally cheaper , quality seemed good but I don't have the same long term mileage/ years of ownership info to back up my opinion of them.
Z power fork tubes will I suspect be better than original Kawasaki . Unsure if they'll last 35 years though. Your money, your choice I think.

Z power ones are fine, I bought an a2 set when they had them a few years back, still good.

Hard chrome by Philpotts are quality and they last. My Z1000 was done 15 - 20 years ago- still perfect.

Just had a set of legs done by Philpot’s £225 buy a set from ZPower
Save some money!

The best thing to do is to contact the manufacturers and Philpotts to enquire about their processes, find out if they have a nickel sub strata applied before chroming, this protects against water ingress as chrome is not waterproof, so the ones that don't have nickel rust out in no time at all.
