Hi all
I’m hoping someone can help me with paint finish.
The bikes previous owner painted the wheels gold which I want to get back to the original colours.
The edge of the spokes and rim look like bear metal, would this have been lacquered or left polished.
The rest of the wheel looks black or very dark grey.
What is the right finish of the black or grey, matt, satin or gloss.

Buy the Z1R book by Tony Sculpher, it's a restorers essential and tells you literally everything you'll need to know.
I used it on my Z1-R TC to get the correct paint finishes required.

Simoniz black satin paint is the best for wheels..... spray a shit load into the aerosol top, leave to settle for 10 mins then brush it on with a make-up brush for the ultimate finish.
