Can any of you kind folk confirm that I have the correct sequence of bits on this Jan 1975 build Z1-B fork damper (I believe it's a 44022-028).

Also, what's the current thinking on the best oil to use in the forks. Manual just says 170ml of SAE10. I know this has been discussed before but the last reference I can find on the forum is from 10 years ago.

Having recently re-built my Z1B forks, I think you've got it right.

Further to the above I cannot for the life of me find the torque setting for the damper cylinder bolt (44041-040). It's an M10 Allen bolt. It's not listed as a specific bolt in the shop manual and in the general torque settings M10 bolts are listed as having 1.25mm pitch in the "Fine" category. The damper bolt is 1.00mm pitch. Looking at the InterWeb indicates that finer pitch requires lower torque for the same preload.

Can anyone offer any help? TIA.
