Z900 front sprocket cover
Hi guys, just doing general maintenance before long run at the weekend and found wear on the front sprocket inner cover and side wear on the sprocket. The sprocket nut was tight with no play whatsoever.
Re: Z900 front sprocket cover
should be a shallow boss on the sprocket. The boss needs to be inward facing to keep the O-ring chain spaced correctly away from the casing. Can't see any boss on your sprocket so might be a Z1 (non-O-ring chain) sprocket. You've also had the chain too loose which is the cause of the 2 scars on the cover.
Re: Z900 front sprocket cover
Thanks John,I had never changed my front sprocket and now have received the front, rear and chain from z power and the new front sprocket offsets!!! That explains why it was rubbing the cover and the knackered chain explains the wear
