Thinking of doing a hydraulic clutch conversion to my A2 over the winter, apart from the obvious like a master cylinder and hydraulic line, what other bits will i need, and how hard is it to do and any pros and cons.

dead easy. see the post padders did on his recent conversion. you'll need the slave cylinder as well.

I'd suggest you get matching master cylinders - zrx ones are good and you get to keep the mirrors.

Thanks padders i will but as i say wont be doing it till the winter lay up but yes ill certainly be asking you for advice etc.

Did the Harris a little while ago.

Ducati master cylinder, matches front brake cylinder, slave cylinder seems a good bit of kit.

Easy job, no problems found by me.

Done around 1000 miles so far, nothing has gone wrong yet!

No real reason to change it though just another update I guess.

Would post pictures, but that has been done and there is nothing to see once its fitted.

hey guys,how did you go about bleeding the system?did you do it with the cover off or with the cover on and just bleed the air out at the master cylinder?Cheers Ken.

First step was to bleed the slave cylinder with the cover off.

Do this with the bleed nipple up for best result.

Hold back the piston or it may come out, then pump the lever and hold in and let the air out.

I then put the cover on and back bleed the master cylinder, quick flicks of the lever then the air will come back up the system, seems to work for me.
