New seal fiitted, broom handle worked well(thanks to Pigford) used rounded end pinch bar which i covered with a piece of thick rubber car heater hose to stop damage to alloy on fork when levered old seal out.Thanks to all for their advice on this next job on Z1 b is to start to refit head to engine when it comes back after its had new valve guides fitted.
