Gear positioning lever location

Hi, does the gear positioning lever go in the first gap or second gap on the shift drum. It fits nicely in the second(inner) gap however in the photo's in the manual it looks like it goes in the outer gap.

Sorry RobW, I think we need a decent photo, unless someone has the assembly in front of them. I do recall a bit of thinking required in that area.

The pawl arm locates on the roll pins for a positive engagement.....

If I recall correctly, it is the centre ring...... but its fairly obvious if you can peer in between.... :wink:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

They hook onto the pins in the outer part as yours look to be doing. The detent arm locates in the inner one.
