reg/rec
my computer wont let me do a forum search, much head banging on wall so here is a much repeated question. these combined reg/rec units, are they really easy to fit do they look quite different is it easy to tell if i already have one fitted should i just get Phil at zpower to throw one in the post
I DONT CARE, IN OR OUT BUT IM ENJOYING THE DEBATE......................ARMSTRONG MT500. a pushbike, waves.....addict, no offence
get one from phil.
they simply screw under the battery box (as the old one ) and just plug in to the original plugs, well the one i got from jeff at z1enterprises did. There will be a gap behind the side panel where the other part has been removed just above the 4 large block connectors. (unless you want to leave it looking original).
modern electrics work much better than the old stuff.

thats what they look like, the original part fitted under the battery box will be silver in colour and more like a tin, (smooth shape rather than ribbed).

Just found rec/reg on Zpower site
https://www.z-power.co.uk/merchantmanag ... ucts_id=41
This is similar to the one from Z1 enterprises, just plug & play NO faffing about soldering/crimping....Whatever.
I priced up the Z1 enterprises item last week & it came in at around £90 inc shipping.
I guess with club discount, & after postage the Zpower item will cost the same.
I reckon you'll go for the plug n' play option Mick....... Why make life difficult, eh?
