#1 PostAuthor: FLC » Fri Feb 02, 2007 9:12 am

hi all a few questions on mk 2's,
i have a set of early cases i.e rocker cover, generator cover points and want to fit them on the later motor is this a straight swap?
Also is it possible to set up to run without battery?
many thanks in advance Mick.

If by early cases you mean Z1000A2 and before -
The points cover will fit.
The alternator is different and the earlier cover won't fit.
The cam cover will fit but may have slight differences unless it is a US import with the emission crap on top and then it will leave the holes to the ex valves uncovered.

You are probably best to leave the battery on as your ignition will have a more stable supply.
