New Battery query???

#1 PostAuthor: Z.O.A » Wed May 13, 2009 11:58 am

Hey all, gonna order up a new Yuasa battery today, I just wanted to check with a few people, should I just go with the standard 10 amp that's recommended or, now that I have stuck in a new reg/rec unit would I be as well to go up to a 12 or 14amp :?: :?: .
Does anyone know if the difference in physical size is major between a YB10LA2 and a YB14LA2 or would it still fit in a Z900 A4 battery tray :?:
Just wanted to check before forking out the money.
Cheers, Gavin.

in my experience the larger battery doesn't fit. i tried the one from my Z1R in my Z900 and it was too tall.........

That's grand, I ordered the Yuasa YB10LA2 from Crossans earlier, I've always used them in other bikes anyway (albeit ones with modern electrics  ) and found them faultless. It was £39 all in.
I did check Buster's and L M spares before and a few other places, but they dont ship batteries any more with packs, hazardous goods act prevents it, but I do'nt think £39 is too bad anyway.
