Z1000J GPz1100

#1 PostAuthor: Steve H » Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:02 pm

Hi all, can anyone help? I have a GPz1100B2 with a Z1000J fuel tank (I bought it as a paint set as I liked the colour scheme) but the fuel taps are not interchangable (the J is a 2 bolt affair where as the B2 is similar to the Z900 arrangement) I only have one tap for the B2, My question is does anyone know if other fuel taps are suitable as I cannot find a Z1000J tap to fit. :(

P.s The bike is running carbs.

Any help would be gratefully recieved :D

http://www.debben.co.uk/acatalog/Z1000J.html
Expensive but Debbens do a Pingel tap with a range of two bolt fixings listed for 1000J as well as the 22mm nut fitting.

Its £80 but then what would a second hand original cost and then figure a rebuild kit in to that at £30 or so.

Wemoto did the rebuild kits for original taps, dont know about current stock.

Steve,I might have a 1000J fuel tap that you can borrow until you get sorted.
I'll check over the weekend and let you know.

Many thanks for all the replys, they are most helpful and Jack, if you do have one to fit that I may borrow
that would be fantastic, it will tide me over until you need it back or, hopefully, I find one that I can purchase.

Thanks again ... Steve
