i understand people travel a lot further from the other direction to get to the rally than i need to from this side. id have to come in a van anyway.
what about a band playing 80's hits, for the younger guys

Kareoke does NOT appeal to be honestBut I may well be in the minority
ive drank there on and off for the last few years and its never been a spit & sawdust pub lol, entertainment wise could see if we could come to some sort of arrangement with landlord over a band, guitarist from house of kane sometimes works in the pub so they would be ideal, where ever the rally is held!!
check em out, they played at westpoint the other week

The venue is pretty much sorted now. there was a bike do there yesterday and the Old Gurl won best Vintage
House of Kain look great. I'll contact them and see what the cost would be. Most good covers bands charge a fair few bob though, so if I am going to commit to something like that I'll have to sell quite a few tickets in advance and it may be that we have to not bother with the uber posh trophies. We will be saving some funds this year though, as we don't need to pay for camping
It may be cheaper though to ge a band that are a bit more local to the venue - any other suggestions?

I Need To Retract My Vote!
I voted for the I-Pod (okay, 'cos I'm a tight wad), then realised Ralph would probably be supplying the content
So to avoid all possibility of suffering a homage to Pink Ffloyd all night (
) I would like to retract my vote and go for the Live Band option please
