Steve

Been off the net for a while, but would have contacted you had I known about a ride out.

Don't let this dampen your enthusiasm, there will always be a next time! :D

Hi Neil,
I went on my own but the following week I met up with Ray from Leeds, who I had not met before and we had a great run up in the Dales we did about 150 miles and had lunch in a pub in Hawes. He has a very nice standard Z1 A and I have a mildly modified Z1a it was a great day out and good to ride with another Zed.

So heres the idea for next year:-

1) I will compile a list of mobile phone numbers and e mail addresses of any one who is interested. ( I will post a thread on here and write a letter to the magazine.)

2) If the weather is set to be good then I will contact by text and e mail on say the thursday before, anyone on the list with a start point, and off we go for as blast.
I will come up with some routes, start points (which will be around the Leeds Bradford area as this is central for runs to the Dales/ Peaks/ Lake district and Coasts.) to get it going then hopefully others will have their favourite rides to contribute.

It would be great to be able to go out for a day with a group of us, all very informal, basically like we did when we were 21!

What does any one think?
