Roll up, Roll up ... tix for sale for the 4th South West Rally :D

Image

I'm sure anyone who came to any of our last three rallies will tell you that we really know how to have a good time in the South West and we have the same venue as last year with supplies seriously good real ale and properly potent agricultural wine for those who have a penchant for the apple.

We'll take some tix up to Gloucester tomorrow

Googled this lot earlier for another member, the rally venue is approx 1 mile north of the B&B listed as 'D', so come on, all those that don't like camping you can stay in relatively close, en-suite luxury.

C'mon......... Give Ralph yer dosh. :aha

I have just booked a cracking rock band for the rally. Sadly last years band ... er ... disbanded. It did seem as though one of the members was going to play for us, but sadly he disappeared. Luckily the Ray Jones Band have come to the rescue.
BUT I have had to commit a fair bit of cash, so I really would appreciate it if I could get a few more of you guys to buy some tickets!

The band has a web site : http://www.therayjonesband.com/ and you can hear some of their sounds. They will be playing a few of their own songs, but in the main they will be playing well known biker style rock classics :D

Make sure you bring you dancing boots

I haven't drunk the stuff for years; I don't believe that any that potent can be good for the soul, let alone the liver!

Scrumpy makes Irish cider look like lemonade :D Anyone who has drunk real Scrumpy (not the crap they sell to tourists, which is watered down for their own good [commonly referred to as extending]) will tell you that it is very powerful stuff, after the first few pints you don't even notice how bad it tastes  I reckon, given you are a practised drinker, that six pints would render you incapable of anything. Most folk lose the use of their legs after three

Never ceases to amaze me that the humble apple can produce something so toxic  and that's all it contains, save the odd rat foolish enough to lean over the barrel and take a drink. The skeletons are allegedly stripped white at the bottom  Don't know if that's an old farmers tale or not

more like odd bones than the whole thing they used sling in used horse shoes too . wasent to much left of them either . there was a small farm near kent as a remember i think lol that sold half litre botles of farmhouse stuff laced with spirits . not for stregth but taste . problem was it went down too easy . and the rest was history .
