Seriously, thanks for asking as i didn`t think anyone was bothered (bovvered!), to be honest for me it wasn`t the best of days time wise as i started ok`ish with a 10.86 @ 128mph, then got worse with more 10.8`s a 10.9 and even dropping into the 11`s (i won`t mention the 12 sec run

) And finished with a 10.63 @ 128mph. It didn`t seem to want to go into 2nd on the first push of the button (airshifter), so by then i was over revving it and losing time, my last run of 10.63 was taking it fairly steady and just shifting at 9000 so more revs isn`t always the answer.
But overall it was a great day, good weather, albeit a bit windy, some other Zeds there - Z1000J turbo (yellow Eddie Lawson replica) which did a 9.90 and is a gorgeous looking bike owned by top man Barry, plus equally top man Mark on his 1200cc nitrous Zed, early style model long swingarm, lowered, solid struts etc, cool bike that nearly dipped into the 9`s with a 10.09 (i think).
Unfortunately they only had one lane working, so there was no side by side action or Zed vs Triple grudge matches as i`d hoped, never mind still able to do plenty of runs. Which reminds me that Mike who was borrowing my mate Alastairs fairly standard Z1000J to race there did over 20 runs with a best time of 12.8 secs (i think, or maybe 12.9), but at 70 years old fair play to him, he was having a great time!
Rick Brett was there plus quite a few other triples, nice to meet you again Rick, his drag bike looked the nuts as he was struggling for grip and putting on a great show.
The biggest disappointment was that a guy turned up with a drag bike that never actually got to run, but would have been amazing if it had. It was basically a 1500cc 2 stroke V8! That`s 2 TZ750 engines welded together into a V8, absolutely mental looking thing, just a real shame they never got it running.
Anyway, i bet you wish you`d never asked now?

Whatever you do, don`t ask me how Brighton Speed Trials goes next Saturday, i may just tell you!
