Rob W and myself have booked a trackday for August 20th (tuesday) at Donnington.

We will both be in the novice section with Zeds.
Anyone else going or want to give it a go.

It is booked with 'No Limits' and if i remember it was / will be a noisy day.

Went to Donnington yesterday with Rob W for a noisy day and got lucky with the weather.
Met KWAKERZ1 (Phil) and RobRC30 (classicbike trackdays/ club member/ previous official of this club too i believe) and many new faces as its all new to me.
Didnt have any time to take photos but did get what i thought was one in the pits (turns out its a vidoe clip ooops) and one at home of the alarming condition of my back tyre (thanks Brian 1100)

Great day for us not so good for all the poor folks that fell off and some who wrote their bikes off as well.

I'm off the edge of the treaded area and into the sidewall and lettering!

Al,

that's my old BT45 tyre I used at Cadwell.
Glad I was able to scrub it in for you.
But did you manage to scrape the alternator casing with it?

Photo of me racing Lawson himself - though it could be Rob.

No sorry the handlebars stopped me going down any further.
Is yours ground right through or is it still oiltight.
I have a spare J type one if you need to get yours repaired

Al,
The casing isn't too bad. If I do any track days next year stiffer fork springs are in order.
Though I changed the BT45's for Conti Classic Attacks on the Sunday I didn't notice much difference in grip on the track. However on the road they are so much better. The bike is more stable, feels lighter, and steers quicker.
Flying out to the USA tomorrow for a week biking. Will be riding a ZRX1100 around the mountain roads of the Southern states. Will try o post some photos when I get back.
