South West 9th Intergalactic Rally 29th-31st July 2016
As always the South West Rally will be help at the Waggon and Horses at Doulting Beacon near Shepton Mallet.
There is camping available with facilities such as washing, for those that do There is even electricity hook up for posh campers. More importantly Dawn provides us with excellent food and some of the best real ales for miles around. There is regular fizzy cider such as Thatchers Gold and the real deal for those with lead lined insides - real Somerset Scrumpy. They even sell lager for the louts, assuming Ginger Bear doesn't drink it all ! Dawn will feed you at breakfast, lunch and dinner time.
There will be the usual convoy of Zeds on the Saturday magical mystery tour to ****** (So secret even I don't know where it is yet )
The fun starts at Friday lunch time and carries on 'til Sunday lunchtime when every goes home to tell their offspring that they have had a great weekend drinking their inheritance. We usually have one of Dawn's famous Sunday lunches which generally cures the hangover.
We no longer have tickets cos it's free, just rock up and party. If you have any doubt ask those that have been before and book time off with the missus, or better still bring her along

I had a leaking cam cover gasket, so thought I would quickly replace and ride. All cam cover bolts came out easy, except one that snapped pretty much straight away. It had to be the one near the cam chain tunnel and not an outer one, didn't it. So the head is off to have this snapped bolt removed. May as well get the valve stem seals and anything else that needs doing done straight away. It's not good timing but has forced my hand to do a few things that needed doing anyway. It should be ready for the winter
