If you don't want to cross the north/south divide, Harwich is just as close for me as Hull, and I guess there will be a group going via Calais.

Rotterdam to the site is approx. 250 miles
Calais to the site is approx. 400 miles

Phil, can you ask Peter for local B&B details so CB and myself can get ourselves booked in please. I'm sure there would be others in the South who would like to come if beds can be made available :D

I would love to go , is there anyone going from down south and going via Dover ? I've never ridden abroad so I would need to tag along as it used to driving on the other side ,going on Thursday and coming back on Monday

If 2012 was anything to go by, then all the ports were used by some of us. I guess I would tag along on the Harwich crossing this time, but Dover is more riding miles but less at sea time.
Pigford I 'think' would come very close to Swindon, depending where he chooses to cross the water

From Pensford riding to Hull looks as though it's probably not much different to Harwich or Dover miles wise.

We would have to stay in a Premier Grim whichever port we choose. We're more concerned about getting our B&B booked in Germany!

Had assumed we'd use the tunnel again for this with a stop on the Dutch/German border

Ralph,

I'm sure there is another post with B&b details.

I'm up for the trip but yet to make any arrangements. I guess if we leave late enough we will be camping with the northern hard nose massive.

The Hannover one is the 2 yearly rally at Zytanien.
It would be difficult to say which is the better rally to recommend between Hannover, Schleswig-Holstein, Warsteiner or Belgium. Zytanien and Schleswig are a bloody long way which we have now concluded are not doable in a day from the ferry ports.
We used to get the overnight and do the 370 miles the next day. Now we stop overnight about 100 - 150 miles in.
Facilities at these rallies are spartan for campers. Showers if you're lucky, food is all meat and bread but the beer is plentiful. Company is good too with no problems (unless your name's Hobbo)

Think i need a word with you 😈😈😈😈
