11th South West Rally

#1 PostAuthor: RALPHARAMA » Wed Feb 07, 2018 9:53 am

Despite my thinking ten rallies was enough for anyone, it seems myself and my good lady, the Current Bride, are again putting on the South West Rally. God knows where the ride-out will go this year  Back to the blind fold, map and pin again I guess  The magical mystery tour is waiting ..... :xbou

This year it's a fortnight later than usual 10th - 12th August 2018 at the same venue the Wagon and Horses near Shepton Mallet http://www.waggonandhorsesinn.co.uk/

Expect the usual level of drunken depravity and hilarity as a load of middle aged bikers of both sexes drink and eat too much and misbehave :pist

Free entry as always. First rate real ale and rough scrumpy for those daft enough to poison themselves with the stuff :star.

As ever there's camping with facilities and Dawn's super lovely food, but don't upset her, she bites :axe

That 'Dawn' can be a miserable cow. I chucked best part of £100 over the bar a couple of years back.(The Geoff Parr challenge) and she was still a right old moany feckin' bitch.

It's still a cracking venue with great beer and food.

As always - last year it was sent with My Hermes as a cost saving excercise (Jerry wouldn’t sanction UPS), which is why it was delivered late.

Well Ralphy,

Good to talk earlier.

Earlier in the week it looked as if you'd really pissed off the 'weather gods', but now it looks like you've pulled it back, with the weather being dry & not too hot. :up

I'll be there Friday afternoon, in a van, but with the 'Widow Shaker', ready to do the business. I have a spare set of tyres/wheels & fully intend to burn out/blow out what's already on there. :cl :cl

I'll also have me db meter with me & will happily run the 'GB db' challenge, after the rideout on Saturday afternoon. This was last seen at Hobbo's Yorkshire rally many moons ago, with from, a slightly blurry memory, Paul Macelaney (Chunks), willing to rant his zed to the limit, just to prove he had the noisiest Zed.
Prizes down to you Ralph, but I'd suggest Loudest Zed, Loudest Zed powered mobility scooter & Loudest other. :bla
