JAPANESE CLASSIC BIKES event

#1 PostAuthor: Philippe » Fri Feb 09, 2018 8:18 am

On april 22 from 10 AM till 5 PM there's the 8th Japanese classic bikes meeting in Brussels (Groot Bijgaarden).
It's taking place at Kart Expo, just near the R0, exit "Groot-Bijgaarden".
If you want to know more about it look at facebook "brusselsmotoretro".
Cheers

Hi there
as promised a few pictures from the Japanese Classic Bikes meeting.
I left this morning at 08.15 AM and drove to Genappe. The road went along the battlefield of Waterloo and the RV point was at a road café "Driver 1". To my knowledge unique in Belgium, a café-restaurant-workshop-garage all in one.

After a breakfast we took off for an 80 Km ride towards Brussels.
The meeting took place at Groot Bijgaarden in a building where karting races are done.
The organisation asked me to put one of my bikes on display, they preferred the Z1R

Once we arrived we could park our "classic bikes" inside.

My "weapon of choise" was my MK2
There was an auction where people could bid at bikes...I didn't stay in order to resist the temptation.

The estimated price for this one was between 10.000 and 12.000 Euro... a bit pricy to my opinion.
There were off course other things to be seen and not only "Made in Japan" ...

On the parking there were a lot of "newer" bikes that couldn't park inside

At 16.00 PM I was home.
I had a beautifull day , the weather was fine, all went well , what else can a man desire on a sunday?
Hope to see some of you next year.
Greetings from Belgium
