I'm minded to attend this one.

Hemfurth is waiting



Since my Z750 had some technical issues, we rented an electric assited push bike to climb the wall.



Never the less it was a Z at least.



The Project Team will come back with further info for accomodation etc. at a
later date since some of the hotels seem to be under Corona shut down currently.

Had a great time in 2012 - looking forward to this..............

Camping & Campers Bad Kissingen

A campground is available on site.
Camping cars also possible - first arrive - first to get a stand.

Tomorrow some of us will ride to the Edersee to attend the meeting between Kawasaki Germany
and Stephan Brede. Micky Hesse will also join the meeting. I will keep you updated.

Tuesday 10.08.2021 - a dry and at times wet pleasure

Edersee - we come

Am 08.05.2021 trafen sich Jürgen, Frank und ich an der Autobahneinfahrt Pleidelsheim
zur Fahrt nach Hemfurth am Edersee.

On 08.05.2021 Jürgen, Frank and I met at the motorway entrance Pleidelsheim
for the drive to Hemfurth am Edersee.



Wir fuhren eine schöne Strecke über Land, wobei wir am Main bei Wertheim eine kurze Pause einlegten.
We drove a beautiful stretch of countryside roads, taking a short break on the Main river near Wertheim city.



An der Autobahnausfahrt in Weibersbrunn nahmen wir mit Franz von den Ulmern Kontakt auf.
At the motorway exit in Weibersbrunn, we contacted Franz from the Z-Heads of Ulm.



Er wartete schon am Pendlerparkplatz.
He already attended us at the commuter car park.

Derweil Frank & Jürgen an der Tankstelle Sprit nachfüllten, sammelte ich ihn dort ein.
While Frank & Jürgen filled up with fuel at the petrol station, I collected him there.



Wir gesellten uns zu den anderen und tankten ebenfalls.
We joined the others and refuelled as well.



Eine BMW K100 war auch gerade da, mit deren Besitzer Jürgen und Frank sich bestens unterhielten.
A BMW K100 was also just there, and Jürgen and Frank had a great chat with its owner.



Da sich der kleine Hunger meldete machten wir einem Café in Herbststein an der Strecke eine Pause.
As we were getting a slightly hungry, we took a break at a café in Herbststein along the route.



Alle versorgten sich mit etwas essbarem und einem Getränk dazu.
Everyone provided themselves with something edible and a drink to go with.



Unterwegs fing es dann zum regnen an und wir machten unter Bäumen einen Halt
um die Regenklamotten anzuziehen und um den lokalen Schauer abzuwarten.
On the way, it started to rain and we stopped under trees to put on the rain gear and
and waited for the end of the local shower.



Danach ging es weiter und just als wir eine dringend notwendige Tankstelle anliefen
begann es wieder zu regnen. Unter dem Dach der Tankstelle warteten und machten
uns zwei Regenschauer später wieder auf die Strecke.
Then we continued on and just as we were approaching a much-needed petrol station,
it started to rain again. We waited under the roof of the petrol station and two rain showers later,
we were back on the road.



In Hemfurth sind wir dann wieder trocken aber mit eingesauten Motorrädern angekommen.
In Hemfurth we arrived dry again, but with soaked motorbikes.



Da die Zündstoff City komplett ausgebucht war hat uns Stephan in einem Ferienhaus einquartiert.
Since the Zündstoff City was completely booked out, Stephan put us up in a cottage close by.



Wir bezogen das Quartier
We moved into the quarters.

Im Hof vom Café Zündstoff gab es was zu Abendessen und wir genossen den Abend im freien,
solange bis uns der nächste Regenschauer ins innere trieb.
We had dinner in the courtyard of Café Zündstoff and enjoyed the evening outdoors,
until the next rain shower drove us inside.



Als Absacker nahmen wir noch ein Fläschen Rotwein ins Ferienhaus um den Abend
gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen.
As a nightcap, we took a bottle of red wine with us to the cottage
to let the evening end in a cosy atmosphere.

Wednesday 11.08.2021 morning - Sightseeing

Am Mittwoch morgen gab es Frühstück im Ferienhaus. Danach fuhren wir zum Ederseestausse hoch.
Die Polizei war dabei und machte Geschwindigkeitskontrolle. Hat uns aber nix gemacht.
On Wednesday morning we had breakfast in the cottage. After this we drove up to the Edersee.
The police were there and did a speed check. But we didn't mind.



Ein Stopp zur Besichtigung der Staumauer.
A stop to visit the dam wall.

Die Staumauer die im Krieg von der Enlischen Luftwaffe mit speziellen Bomben zerstört wurde.
The dam wall that was destroyed during the world war II by the British Royal Airforce with special bombs.



Am Ausfluß wird Strom erzeugt.
Electricity is generated at the outflow.



Nach Besichtigung vom See ging es nach Wellen zum Z1300 gucken.
After visiting the lake, we went to the Wellen to spot Z1300s.



Wilfried Büchsenchütz begrüßte uns in seiner Werkstatt.
Wilfried Büchsenchütz welcomed us to his workshop.



Er baut gerade an ein paar 8-Zylinder Motoren für Gespanne, was Frank interessierte.
Schräglage ist mit dem Motor keine möglich - daher nur Gespannantrieb.
He is currently building a couple of 8-cylinder engines for sidecars, which
Frank was interested in. Leaning is not possible with the engine - therefore
only for use in bikeses with sidecar.

Sein Fundus ist mit Teilen für die Z1300 gut bestückt. Es gibt nichts was es nicht gibt.
His pool is well stocked with parts for the Z1300. There is nothing that does not exist.



Im Hof stand eines seiner Gespanne.
One of his sidecar was located in the courtyard.



Um die Laufleistung korrekt zu dokumentieren wurde der Tacho vorne um eine Stelle erweitert.
In order to document the mileage correctly, the speedometer was extended by one digit.

Am tollen Haus vorbei ging es wieder zurück zum Café Zündstoff in Hemfurth.
We passed the "great Hosue" on our way back to Café Zündstoff in Hemfurth.



Bei unserer Ankunft waren Adi, Kawa-Öpi und die anderen schon da und waren am essen.
When we arrived, Adi, Kawa-Öpi and the others were already there and were eating.



Wednesday 11.08.2021 afternoon - Meeting

Nachdem Stephan einen Stau auf der Autobahn abgeritten hatte setzen wir uns zur
Besprechung des Events 2022 zusammen.
After Stephan had ridden out a traffic jam on the motorway, we
sat down to discuss the 2022 event.



Micky Hesse war auch mit von der Partie.
Micky Hesse was also part of the team.



Nach dem ersten Gedankenaustausch den ich mitpotokolliert machen wir uns
auf den Weg zum Eventgelände.
After the first exchange of ideas, which I recorded for the files, we made
our way to the event site.



Passt der Platz für den Promotion-Truck ? Nein eher nicht.
Is there enough space for the promotion truck ? No, rather not.



Hier steigt die Party - die Festwiese
This is where the event will take place - the party ground.



Da hinten kommt die Freiluftbühne und der Campground hin.
The open-air stage and the camp ground will be here at the back.



Wird schon - hoffentlich macht das Wetter mit ...
It'll be fine - hopefully the weather will cooperate ...



Wednesday 11.08.2021 Late Afternoon - Time to say Good Bye

Nach der Besichtung gingen wir zum Café Zündstoff zurück, wo die Warsteiner ihre Z's geparkt hatten.
After the sightseeing, we went back to Café Zündstoff, where the Warsteiner Z-Crew had parked their Z's.



Wir verabschiedten uns voneinander und machten uns auf dem Heimweg, da Franz die
weiteste Anfahrt aus Langenau hatte und nicht so spät heim kommen wollte.
We said goodbye to each other and made our way home, as Franz had
the longest journey from Langenau and didn't want to get home too late..

Nach einem Tankstopp an der Aral-Tankstelle an der Autobahnauffahrt Homburg / Efzte
fuhren Jürgen und Franz auf die A7 auf und düsten weiter.

Jürgen and Franz joined the A7 and sped home



Frank und ich wählten die Landstraße, um noch ein paar schöne Strecken zu fahren.
Frank and I myself chose the country road to ride some more nice stretches.



Es gab Sträßchen die richtig Spaß machten. Ein kurzer Zwischestopp irgendwo an der Strecke.
There were little roads that were really fun. A short stop somewhere along the route.



Danach gings bei Mespelbrunn auch wieder auf die Autobahn A3 und weiter nach Hause.
Afterwards, we got back on the A3 motorway at Mespelbrunn and continued home.

Addendum from 01.09.2021 - Good News

Nach Rücksprache mit der Gemeindeverwaltung hat Stephan angerufen,
daß das Projekt in trockenen Tüchern ist. Er wird jetzt die Vorbereitungen
starten. - Juuhuu !! Macht schon mal die Z's startklar ....

After consulting with the municipal administration, Stephan called,
that the project is in the bag. He will now start the preparations.
Yippieeh yeah !!! Gentlemen - start your engines of the Z's - ready to go ....
