Classic bike show, Crich tramway museum
There is a classic bike show held every July at the tramway museum, and they have offered us an area for 2022, to Mark the 50th anniversary of the Z1. If anyone is interested in attending, contact glennz1b who has more details. Maybe it could link in with a midlands run out?

If some body has a date I can add it to the calendar?

Re: Classic bike show, Crich tramway museum
Hi All
My name is Glenn Williams, Club no 271 and I'm organising a 50th Anniversary meet for this year, On Sunday 3rd of July 2022 at the Crich Tramway Village Derbyshire DE45DP
This is a great event for motorcycles From pre war up to 1997, at a great location, The event is called THE CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE DAY and is run in conjunction with the VINCENT HRD owners Club. The Tramway has its own Classic pub The Red Lion which is where they will line up all the Z1s for the 50th Anniversary. This spot is the centre piece of the show and is offered to clubs to celebrate a motorcycle make or model. one year there was 42 Gold stars in a row which looked fantastic, this year it was Italian bikes.
The Village it self is quite a large area with trams running all day, A very good Café where you can eat in, or sit outside. There's the Classic Red Lion Pub next to it, a Large museum, a Town hall. a Band stand were a band plays live music( normally around 12.30 and again at 15.00). There is a wood land walk back along the tram track if you need a change of environment, or just stop on the tram to bring you back. There's also the viewing of the work shops where the trams are serviced and rebuilt. The Derbyshire blood Bikes run a large tent/storage area where you can put your helmet and gear for a small donation. The bikes are all in place for 10.00 ready for when the general public are allowed in. you can leave at any time but it would be good to keep a good line up up to 15.30 hrs or onwards. I'm quite sure if you make the effort to come you will not be disappointed, as all the people who turn up for this event are well into there bikes, and easy to talk to. So could you please put your name forward on the list above which Jerry sorted for me or give me a ring on 01773 711347 or 07931225006 telling me you would like to attend or to ask any questions about the event. PS There are numerous Trophies awarded on the day, one of which is Best Japanese Machine, so Please see the photos below from this years event which was a late call in October, so not so many bikes attended this year, and a few from previous years. Plus note, Matlock bath is only 15 mins ride from the Crich Tramway museum. Hope to see you all this year for this great event.
Cheers Glenn

Re: Classic bike show, Crich tramway museum
Crich event is a great day out, the BSA Goldstar line-up was in 2018.
Glenn, are you looking for just Z1 bikes or does it include Z1A & Z1B? If it does then i'm hoping to have a Z1B ready in time for the event.

Re: Classic bike show, Crich tramway museum
Hi
The Crich event is a great day out and a line of Z's would look brilliant out side the pub, like the gold stars
It would be great if we could have a line of Z1,Z1A Z1b, ZA4. (1972 to 1976) with Z1000s and Z1r's at one end.
Get cracking over winter on that Z1b and i will see you there
Cheers Glenn
PS Thanks for cracking photo of the Gold stars, I remember it well.
