#1 PostAuthor: bunnysZ » Wed Mar 16, 2022 11:56 am

I have registered an interest for a stand at the Kophill climb
https://www.kophillclimb.org.uk/
24th/25th Sept hopefully we can get a few Zeds there for the Sunday. or maybe the 2 days .
if anyone is interested please pm me for the details
if you want to ride up the hill you will have to register individually but still be part of the Z1OC stand.

I'll be hoping to run my Z1-B up the hill as I did last year. I'll also hopefully be running the Ninja H2, which I've done for the last 6 years. Paul, do you want me to display/run the Z1-B through the club stand?

The Ninja H2 has a separate display/run area usually based on the year of manufacture (2016) but last year they created an "Exotics" section where they lumped all the high-performance cars & bikes together. Did not go down too well with the bikers! If you wish I can stick the H2 on the stand as it is after all a Z (ZX1000NGF to be precise)

Also, a word of warning. You need to get a reasonable response from the guys and gals, as should there not be enough bikes to display to justify the allocated space (a stand area will accommodate up to 20 bikes) the organisers may lump the few bikes in with other groups. This nearly happened to me when I tried to get enough bikes for a VJMC stand last year and had to pull it in the end due to lack of interest. I did manage to get a stand sorted in 2019 before the pandemic hit though which was a great success. A large number of visitors mentioned that the era we were covering (late 60's and 70's) was when they started biking, and that the kit on display was more relevant than a lot of the older stuff and the British models of that era. I've attached a couple of pic's of the 2019 stand for your amusement.

Look forward to meeting you all!
