Latest project pretty much finished - thoughts?

#1 PostAuthor: warren3200gt » Sat Oct 29, 2016 8:25 am

As many of you might know I imported a b1 from the US when I restored my UK b1 thinking I would need some spares. As it turned out I only used the air box off the US bike so I basically had an entire bike spare when my UK bike was finished.

Back in the day I hankered after customising my Uk bike but didn't have the finance or experience to do it justice so didn't do it. With a entire 650 spare I thought I would now build the bike I wanted too 35 years ago. With the bits and pieces laying around in the garage accumulated over the years added this is what it turned out like!

Thing is, I have enjoyed building it but I REALLY don't need another bike laying up in the garage along with all the others I seldom get a chance to use, so what do we reckon it's worth? I'm pretty sure it'll be on ebay in the spring of next year but don't intend to give it away!

Plenty more pics if anyone wants them.

Just need to MOT it and UK register it which I'll do over the winter.

Thanks guys, its good to have my efforts appreciated. Guess I'll find out what its value is when I ebay it next year. Just hope the sum of the whole is at least that of its parts. The wheels, rearsets and seat are pretty hard to find these days. Not entirely sure the 650 fraternaty will appreciate it though.

Hi Kev,
The garage is full of bikes now. Sold the Maserati as I wasn't using it and had an offer to good to refuse. Probably did less that a 500 miles in it in the last 5 years.
Finished your diy ?
