My Z1000a2

#1 PostAuthor: BigZCas » Sun Feb 26, 2017 12:02 pm

Hello!

This is the bike I bought from a guy in Scotland who had owned it for 10 years. I paid £4999 in January but it needed some light restoration.

This is what I've done;

Removed original 4:2 and replaced with a second hand Vance & Hines which retained the original finned exhaust clamps. £200
Headlight £75
Rev counter cable and seals £16
Outage relay £21
Flasher unit £11
Mirrors £20
Rubbers and fuel lines, tank strap etc. £35
Battery clamp strap, thank you Neil!
Various small items powder coated F.O.C
Various service items, brake pads, battery, oils etc. £110

Total cost £5,500 + weeks of elbow grease!! :D

Nice A2 in the best Colour.

Some engine detailing and a set of 4x4's (failing a set of originals) and it'd be about as good as it gets. :D

Really nice

Not dissimilar to my own A2 -the best colour in my opinion (yours is definitely cleaner though)

You will enjoy that

Get a second disc fitted on the front you will need it😬
