Well. After other projects, racing and living life, I'm back on the 'Irish Sanctuary Build'.
The point of this is to just get it up and running with better suspension, wheels and brakes. There is no funding for this what so ever, so it's going to be made up with bits and pieces i have managed to either scrounge or barter for and cobbled together in some sort of fashion.
It doesnt need frame bracing as i have other bikes for going fast on. Plus i cant be bothered to strip it all down...yet.
It doesnt need to look flashy, as nothing ever stays nice over here for long. Unless its kept hidden away, and i hate polishing anyways.
The front end went in easy enough. Bit of stem pressing and fettling.
Rear end easy enough. Had a mate machine some shock brackets up in exchange for showing him around the good roads over here.
The shocks are yet to be decided. I see people are canting them forward but dont think the work involved justifies the end result, so think the mounts will stay as they are.
Need to find a cheap way of getting my feet on some pegs. The originals might just havet o go on and some sort of new back brake lever built as the old mounting lug had to come off for the swingarm to squeeze in.
Anyway chaps. Thought i'd share the story so far.
Will try and add pics now
