I think half the fun of owning one of these classic machines is the cleaning/tinkering of it.

Great polish but it's more for the outer 'shiny' cases. For the block and barrels you'll need some form of degreaser (Gunk etc) and a light abrasive pad ( Scotchpad etc) to remove the oxidisation from the alloy. You also need a large tub of this....

I am not sure, very like autosol but not as aggressive its a fluid rather that the payst that auto sole is
I always feel its half the work for very much the same result and lasts and lasts

I do the Bonneville cases from time to time with it and the wheels :D

Nearly done, sprayed the underside of the mudguards hamerite smooth silver , looks better than the rust, almost all back together , just a final coat of wax and some number plates if dvla will sort out their shizzle ..
For those who were interested in the cleaning, I came across a cheap top tip... bit of degreaser and a scrub with aluminium foil works wonders, even on rust in chrome ...

Almost there ....it’s too knocked about to have had a rebuild in the last 20 years so pretty convinced it looks a genuine 4K miler... love it

yes for over 35 years
no good for engine cases unless your want a mirror finish, but fab on the side cases and as it has wax it lasts and lasts

think i have said this before sorry
