A few photo's of my newly finished a4, no the plate is not real although I did have someone try to buy it, got the proper reg through this week (surprisingly painless and quite quick).

Any suggestions on how to do it?

Hi relisysxx
you can do that with black heat resistant paint and a paintbrush. It takes some time ...don't allow the paint to dry before you wipe it off at places where it's not supposed to be. Before you start with it, don't forget to degrease the area where the paint is supposed to be. If the cover has a clear coat of varnish it is recommended to take that off before you start using the black paint and apply a new coat of varnish afterwards.
It's not that difficult if the alternator and /or points cover is on a flat surface.
Good luck!

Did mine with a black tyre pen, £1 from eBay. Dead easy.
