My Z1 made the trip safely from Minnesota to N Wales thanks to Shippio, Alien Transport and lots of ACF50. Just got my L Reg plate and looking forward to the VJMC meets at the Bhurtpore Inn in Cheshire when we are allowed.

Glad it made it here safely.
The other day I did stumble across the video of your Z1 being ridden with the 900RS that Motorcyclist (?) magazine did a few years ago..

Thanks John. It was restored in 2001 by Greg Walker using original and NOS parts. Greg has been a great help and given me a lot of info but l also used your wonderful book to research it and made a website to describe the bike.
https://earlyz1.wixsite.com/mysiteWebsite needs updating now with new location. Engine is 00304. I bought it 4 years ago on eBay of all places. Greg sold it to buy an earlier bike but the guy passed away. His wife sold the Z1, along with several Indians to a well known Indian collector. He had no use for the Z1 so put it on eBay
Cheers, Don

Lovely bike, I enjoyed the photos on the website. They must have run low on metal flake after putting that much on the early bikes!
After looking at the close up photos, unfortunately I am now hankering after olive green plating on my carb to airbox bands again, I thought I was over that.

That’s funny I bought an H2C in summer - it had black powder coated rear bands on it - I just ordered some OEM ones from Cradley Kawasaki pretty reasonable actually.
