Z1B nearly finished

#1 PostAuthor: chrisw1 » Wed Sep 01, 2021 6:57 pm

After selling my Z1A back in March and deciding never to do another Zed restoration I was offered a Z1B project in April ....the frame as butchered but the numbers were correct so I decided to give it a bash .......this is where it is today
The paintwork is all original paint with NOS plastics and a patina tank which was an admirable idea but is not up to the right standard really
The exhausts are Delkevic replicas and fit perfectly with a great finish and the period stampings ..... could not be happier
I have used as much original stuff as possible but inevitably it is peppered with replica parts some of which I will change over time but others look fine
Still waiting for the DVLA to respond with a V5C and will be fitting the front brakes next week

Is it me, or has someone filled in the "900" logo on the side panels with a pink magic marker?

BTW lovely Z1-B (and in the best colour of course :D )

And you're very brave moving it about without a front brake. I can just about wheel mine into the garage :gom :star
