Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for a few years picking up useful information for rebuilding my restomodded Z1000 A2. Recently finished and Mot'd. Will be waiting for decent weather to use and fine tune it.
I know not everyones cup of tea, but as the rear footrest hangers were rotten, I decided to modify and address the weak points, the brakes and handling. Can't wait to give it a decent run.

Thanks everyone for the seal of approval.
It was done over the last three years on and off, Grandkids, work, life in general and other bikes to work on.
Phillipe I don't know how you turn them around so quick !
The exhaust is Delkevic headers (which discolour easily as they're single skinned) with as SP engineering silencer. The link pipe was from an Ebay seller I had made to suit, but comes unpolished so needs some elbow grease to get it to match.
Thanks to Rob Meggit for the choke plunger seal replacement, it now starts and idles nicely.

Most stainless headers will be single thickness but look on YouTube for the Harpic Max cure sound brutal but seems to work, especially on well discoloured ones, my mate did it and it actually worked, although I haven’t tried it on my own….

Hi, yes I have some Harpic stuff. I've used it to good effect on my other bikes.
These will probably clean up with metal polish as they haven't been used much yet.
