RETRO Z1B
Just finished after 2 1/2 years of toil, total engine rebuild & far too much money spent, first run out at the weekend a few niggles like a flashing oil light hopefully
down to having LED bulb fitted.

Major effort and spotless finish mate but you cant leave the mob hangin here, few details on it, those look like Triumph Tiger 1050 wheels..

Re: RETRO Z1B
Hi, the wheels are Aprillia RSV Factory OZ, swing arm is modified TL1000, front & rear callipers Ducati SP2, front end is ZX-9 B2 & exhaust is cobbled together with
what I think is a Z1000 end can. Its got full Motogadget Bluetooth electronics system with LED lighting, just wanted it to be reliable spent far too much time by the side of the road waiting for a mate with a van to pick me up in the past.

That's a bloody marvelous looking build, I feel the high exhaust when put on these takes away the focus on the best rear end ever developed, that is my own personal thought, but I would have this bike in a heartbeat.

The exhaust has always been a bug bear, I don't really like the kerker or harris low slung pipes but can't justify spending 2k + on a cyclone 4 into 1 from Sanctuary in Japan which I would really like.

Exhaust, seat and paint scheme are always a love or hate thing but if that were my bike id be saving my lunch monies for 2 years if i had to for the PRO DRAG system, a snip at £1250 before shipping and import...i wish.

I have an early Motogadget system and have been playing around with fitting it with a Mosfet Regulator/Rectifier to a Z1000 A2, i have a junk-ish loom too. Did you use any of the old loom or lay it out yourself with new connectors?

Re: RETRO Z1B
Best exhaust I've seen fitted to a retro mod. As it's just the tail end that offends would it be cost effect to get exhaust craft to fab one up?

I made contact with Ben Hardman from Raysons exhausts not so long ago, guy is an exhaust artist, he is doing hand bent one offs now 4into1 now along with water forming. Said he could do a set of headers patterned off a set of Kerkers, about £600 but UK made.

My mate completely re-wired it front to back using wiring supplied by motogadget so we kept the same colours, everything seemed to go very well with no issues so far.
