The Straightliners web page is being updated, so their regs will be available soon, the key point is, your bike is safe.

Thank You for the info .... Am i correct in thinking that this event will need an ACU license as opposed to running on a RWYB basis ?

From what ive read, in a nutshell - Yes, its a condition of entry to competition events run by Straightliners that all entrants must have a Straightliners membership and an ACU sprint licence.

Bob Trowel wrote this on the FB page

"As we are racing in an ACU sanctioned event, on ACU approved tracks, we have to be covered by the important bit - ACU insurance.

Going to be having a meeting with Trevor and Helen at the Straightliners Elvington Events show next month. And find out all the ins and outs of what hoops we need to jump through to make this a legitimate championship. As soon as I know, you all shall.
I’ll then type everything up properly, and stick it in the files section.
I do believe though, that a Straightliners membership will be required. And once you have that, they will supply you with a code number to get an ACU license.
I’ve been a member for years, so never found it to be a problem.
Will update in due course."

Hopefully more information will be available in early February.
