I have officially fallen out of love with Spa. Whilst it was lovely to see everyone a combination of mechanical failure, sheer bad luck and crap weather really dented my enthusiasm for the event. My track day spending may well be aimed at additional No Limits fun in the sun track days next year.

That's a real shame....
I was due to go for my 1st time this year but due to my shagged spine I gave my ticket to a mate. They said when they got there on Friday night, It'd pissed down all the way and the roads were like rivers. :rock

Oil cooler cracked on my first session spraying the bike and me with oil. Luckily it must of happened right at the end as none reached the tyre. I spent the rest of Friday trying to find a replacement and to add insult it fell off the paddock stand causing the dent in Phil's picture. Saturday rained constantly and an attempted repair did not hold so I took the cooler off and just looped one pipe between inlet and outlet on the takeoff. Only did this as it was cold. That got me one session on Sunday before it rained again.

Final straw. Just went to upload the one and only video I thought i capture from the Drift cam on Friday only to find I had it in stills mode. Great static photo of the inside of my fairing.

I think i shall retire to my room and not come out again until 2018. Annus horribilis to date

Blinking heck Martin you are having nothing but bad luck. Not the same at all, but at Cadwell i forgot to take my keys, blew a fuse which caused a visit to the recovery truck, ran out of petrol, (just got back on 1 cylinder) destroyed either; my battery, my charger or Brian's remote battery or his inverter.
There are still places available for OMCC two day'er at Snetterton in just under two weeks.
