Brightening up here as well...will see you there on the beast...despite what I thought you CAN put it in rain mode on the move...was pottering down the A41 towards the Chesham turn off yesterday trying to reset the trip when almost all the power died and throttle response was slow...couldn't work out what had happened until I saw the little umbrella icon lit up on the idiot board...rain mode cuts engine power by 50% and sets TC at its' highest level...oh for the days of fag papers for CB opening and pencils for carb balancing...it'll all end in tears I tell you

Well that didn't go to plan, I made it to Wing (8 miles or so) where the torrential rain had made it's way up under the tank to cause a horrendous misfire. I left it a while to dry out a bit and managed to get it started again only for the rain to continue. I did see an H2 go past so I would bet that was Steve...I will get to see it properly one day  I decided to turn back obviously and the bike sounded like a twin all the way. It cut out again literally as I rolled up the drive. Now, another job on the 'to do' list. I hope everyone who made it had a good time.

Popped into my firms HQ in Stevenage to drop off my expenses and ended up with a little pressie in the rear boot! (see pic).

Sod's Law would dictate that this is one of the best weekends we've had lately weatherwise, and I can't get a new boot until Tues morning.

On the positive side...my colleague spotted it outside the firm before I moved off as the tyre was showing the visible 20% portion to the rear which contained the nail! I then trundled home in Rain Mode, at about 45-50mph.

Total value of expenses dropped off =£130...total cost of new rear tyre incl fitting =£240.

God owes me £110.

Good run out today. Started cold but by the time we had made it to the local emporium it was very warm indeed.
Thanks to Mark for organising the meets this year - another year over.

Some pics from today including at the end our old classics assisting with an inferior newer bike which had a puncture.
