I also always take one to the scrappy when I am buying offcuts of stainless - the good grades eg 316 (marine) and 304 are not very magnetic, 316 has virtually no pull at all on a magnet

On any machine with a check eg pillar drill always screw one to the top of the machine to hold the chuck key

Rule of thumb is that the more magnetic pull it has the more it will rust

Things goes a little slow here in the North!, but small things are happening, and now I will try to finish up the bike.
Here are the alu bits for fastening the shocks and brake rod.
Made by 531blackbanshee at the KZRider.com forum.
Thanks my friend!
Its almost a pity to Gun-Kote these flashy shiny alubits, buts that the way it is!

Z1000J 82 model, and Z1000R 83 model, And The Calfshit-GPZ1100-
Thanks boys!
So, I have done a little work, I will try to make some decent work again now.
OK, lets go to the pics.
Here is the third head...GPZ1100 85model.
I will use this because it only needs some valve lapping, but I will of course use my Neway cutting tool on those other heads I allready have Gun-Koted.
After Gun-Koting. The head with product 3401 Flat Black.
And before I forget it, its a thin layer with some kind of protection on all the Busa parts, it really looks like its clean metal, but its not. I reckon its a common thing on all newer brands and bikes. On the right its still there.
Here is the secret storeroom... Be aware of the ELR frame, its blasted and primed, and the Wiseco 1262cc cylinder and pistons, ready for some action... But not yet...
Here is the head, ready for some lapping.
Here is the stem seals, from Suzuki, as they have a better reputation for being tougher and more solid.
:
Waiting for the new head....
New cam bearings.
New shim, from my little store room.
Here is one of the four copper gasket on the head.
After a LPG heating and straight to...
A glass with some old Pepsi, they look like this.
AND LOOK AT THIS...
OK, Norway is not actually flowing over with 13mm shims, but that dont say that you have to make our own...
This is from one old head I received with some other parts I bought.
Luckily enough, the guy who did this is driving Harley Davidson now, I hope that he will continue with that.

So, I am in a flow now, next now is the swingarm, more to come...

Nice tip on cleaning the copper washers ... and to think people actually drink that stuff
I always anneal my washers but had accepted that they would never be copper coloured again, without some mechanical method of shite removal

Carbon tank. (or reinforced steel carbon tank)
OK, you have seen my carbon layer tank earlier, now its time to cut it clean and prepare it for the 2 pack varnish with UV filter, so the epoxy dont turn yellow.
Here it is, ready for cut and trim.
Using mini diamond blade on a Dremel.
Its total 10 layers with epoxy, and I need to sand it carefully down without sanding the carbon, so the surface becomes smooth and ready for the varnish.
So, now its ready for wet sanding, and finally the varnish. Here are the front headlight, ready for use, with varnish.
Note the seam on the right side, I like it, because its hand made stuff!
